Johannes Landstorfer in a course offered by Reto Wettach at the
University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. In this project we explored the use of small displays as an instrument to enhance social communication. Based on the small worlds theory, our focus was to encourage communication between strangers by revealing the existence of common friends. This project was presented at the
NGMAST2007 Conference in Cardiff.

text: "Storypaths is another academic project, which analyses how a story teller can be influenced by the presentation of images. Users start a story based on a picture taken from Flickr. Their words are then analyzed, triggering new searches on Flickr. Which presents new images for the story to be continued. In this way users only have partial control on their stories, because they don't know which pictures were tagged with the words used in the text.
When a story is saved, other people can add paths to it. A demo of Storypaths can be accessed
here (just pict the first picture left). You can build a story based on tag tracks
here.

Pacatatucotianao was my final Graduation project, which was developed partly in Brazil, under supervison of Goebel Weyne, and partly in Germany, under supervison of Boris Mueller. It is an educational game that consists on a non-linear story which is sequenced when played. The story includes various themes from Brazilian primary education curriculum, and was designed with the advice of the
Jean Piaget Educational Center to be suitable for children from 9 years on. In Pacatatucotianao each player assumes the identity of a secret agent that must perform some tasks to fulfill a mission.
